The Basic Tai Chi movements and forms is broken down into many important and fundamental sections, POSTURE, HAND FORM, BASIC STANCE, BASIC STEPS etc. . THS teach these parts in class and through videos available in the basic membership area on this website.
The Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan 8 form is the is part of the initial stage of Duan Wei system (Grading System). The Chinese WuShu Association implemented a low to high rank system with Duan 1 to 3 in the Basic Level and Duan 4 to 6 in the Intermediate Level and 7 to 9 in the Advanced Level. This system is based on the individual's years of training, mastering of the technical martial art and understanding of the theoretical levels of the art. Tai Chi Chuan 24 form has 24 steps or actions. It is a simplified version and is easy to learn and therefore classed as a 3rd Duan in the Chinese Duanwei System. Kung Fu Fan 1 is another form of the Weapon Tai Chi. It is an alternative to Tai Chi 32 Sword in the 3rd Duan Tai Chi Grading. This is taught in THS classrooms and a comprehensive DVD and videos are available through the Bronze Level Membership on this website
